Hello!
This is Cory writing to you from zinecube.com, the website my friend Jigar and I started a while back and are about to approach our third beta release with lots of enhancements and increased usability.
Tell us about you!

2. We have users from 30 different countries
3. Gain about 13-15 new users a week
4. Have 38 people have embedded their zine on another website
5. 492 people have added the paypal Pay button to their zine allowing users to pay for items right in the zine
6. 376 people have used the facebook link to add their zine to their facebook page
7. Have close to 140 users who have posted their zine on their band?s myspace page to advertise music/concerts/events.

Hey All —
So guess what?! Zinecube.com has been picked to present at TechCocktail (quarterly Chicago Tech Startup Event) on May 13th here in Chicago!
We know getting the first stable release has been challenging, thanks for your help to those of you who signed up or created mags or gave us feedback (we have 80 enhancements as of now!) or kept giving us “energetic constructive criticism” about not having the site up which makes us work faster/harder!
There is an event loft space above John Barleycorn bar in Wrigleyville which is where the event will be - it holds about 2500 people and should be pretty packed once they open the doors to the public. I am not sure where the entrance is, but it is above the bar, so you should be able to find it (This is the bar where I got punched by an off duty cop in college and fell flat on my face because my hands were in my pocket and I couldn’t get them out fast enough to break my fall)!
The cost is $10 to get in, and yes there will be a full bar — We would love if you came to check us out at our table, if you do, you will be able to get one of our nifty fliers!

Thanks guys for your help, we have a TON to do before the event - zinecube.com in 2010 is going to happen!
Love all y’all and see you there,
Cory and Jigga
Hi All —
There have been a few updates to the site as of now that we wanted to give a heads up about:
1. Resolved an issue with text boxes disappearing (that was a big bug!)
2. Fixed an issue with image cropping
3. Added in functionality so that the embed link now works on tumblr and myspace without have to adjust any dimensions.
4. Multiple usability requests from our users
What are we working on now?
1. Adding functionality to the embedded magazine so that you can stylize to your own liking (we will manually create a customized embedded zine for you now for FREE if you contact me at info@zinecube.com
2. Beginning work on the “Professional Services” piece of the website - which will also be FREE.
3. Adding lots of design and usability enhancements.
Do you have a feature that you would like to see added sooner than later? Send us an email at info@zinecube.com or give us a call at 773-936-3389.
This is where Jigar and I will be posting updates to one of our sites: zinecube.com
Starting today, we will be sending out our link to begin user testing and implementing enhancements prior to launching our site here in Chicago (we would have had the link sent out earlier but Pitchfork was this weekend here in Chicago - thus we had to postpone some of our work for a day or two)!
We have a lot of enhancements already in the works for our next release (beta iv) including:
- New Design (as I did the design this time and we know it is very amateur!) We are in need of a design/developer for the site, no really, seriously, if you have those skills please let us know…really…
- New Image/Video/Text Functionality
- Additional API’s including Vimeo and others
- PDF…?!
- Something you want to see? Let us know!
- A lot more, however, we don’t want to give away some of the best parts!
Look for site updates as well as developer/API updates here.
